In the same group (Pri, Ewan, Sam and I), we signed up to do the Photography yearbook. This was chosen over other subjects, since we felt the imagery would obviously be strong to work with.
Today we had our first meeting with Photography; with the head of the course as well as three people part of their yearbook team.
Below are my notes, which I will also summarise:
Key Points
- Find out budget and timeframes from Danny / Evolution print.
- Some photography students prefer matt printed photos, some prefer gloss. Could we use both within the same publication?
- DEFINATELY not doing postcards again.
- Square format works well for both landscape and portrait imagery, but is always used.
- Consider the use of different stock.
- Title and concept.
- They have a separate than for yearbook and exhibition, so both need to be in the know.
- Include information by visiting speakers?
- Wayfinding and digital version / website.
